With Pecs and Kaposvar both about a half-hour drive away, Sasd makes a handy base. This little guesthouse is in a sleepy town, and the staff are friendly and speak Hungarian fluently, though no other languages. A room costs 4000 HUF, with another 1000 HUF for AC, which is a great price.

The station is only a five-minute walk away, and the place is right in the town center. It was very quiet, clean, and comfortable. 🚉

There’s a bakery, a shop, and parking nearby. The staff were friendly, and the bed was comfortable.
