Hotel Corso

The room was small, but clean and cosy. I’m not sure it was family-owned, though I think it was. The workers were helpful and nice, and spoke German and English quite well. I can’t say much about the view, but the stay was very pleasant.

We could hear that the hotel sits right in the middle of the nightlife, and it sometimes gets noisy outside. The room insulation did a great job, though, so we barely heard any of it. Our apartment was brand new and had a really generous terrace.

We were able to check out late, which was nice. The reception staff were welcoming, and our stylish room was really clean. It's also close to the beach, clubs, and restaurants.

We stayed as a couple for three days in September. The room was clean, apart from lots of spiders, though Siofok is full of them, so I don't blame the hotel. We had no Wi-Fi or room service, and there was very little service at all, including at breakfast. The night receptionist didn't speak English or German. The water was soapy or oily every day, so we brushed our teeth with bottled water. On our second evening there was only cold water, and by the next morning it was even colder. In September the lakeside in Siofok feels like a ghost town. There was nowhere for dinner late in the evening or breakfast early in the morning. The pub staff didn't seem very interested in their guests, and all the pubs closed at 22h. I wouldn't recommend it.
