Kristof Apartman

The photos speak for themselves. I usually leave good reviews, but I wouldn’t stay here again. At over €150 a night, it felt extremely expensive, especially since there’s no breakfast and you can find a 4-star hotel in central Budapest for less. I trusted the 8.5 Booking rating, but the bed we’d booked was replaced with a 1960s-style, ex-USSR sofa bed. There was also a single bed in another room with no windows or closet, and its door wouldn’t lock from the inside. The kitchen was dated, wiring was exposed, and the window looked onto a storage room. The showerhead dangled and kept clogging; there was no hair dryer, and the soap dispenser was broken. It’s not close to the center. The managers never contacted us, and we only communicated through booking.com.

We slept well in the air-conditioned rooms, and the setting was pleasant, quiet, and clean. The apartments suited our needs perfectly. The summer kitchen had enough equipment, the garden had a great feel, and Lake Balaton was just a five-minute walk away. The price was right too. I can only recommend it!

Bea and Tibor are kind, attentive hosts. We love the apartment, which is clean and well equipped.

Thanks for having us. We’ll come back!
