We’ve travelled all over Europe for the last 10 years and never had an experience this disgusting. We just left Tom’s Apartman in Siofok, where we paid 65 euro for “Private room no.2.” The room smelled bad, and the bed and sheets were the worst part. Have you ever wondered whether the sheets were clean after the last guests left? If not, try this place. We brought blankets from our car and used our own towels on the beds. The kitchenette seemed to be there just for the photos. The spoons and forks were covered in rust. Want to shower? Bad luck, towels aren’t included. The Grunding TV was no use either: the remote controls were dusty, and the batteries in one weren’t even kept in their plastic covers. I really don’t understand this approach. It’s the opposite of the usual idea that someone who comes once will come back. I can’t recommend Tom’s Apartmans Siofok.

The TV didn’t work, and after we asked for another one, we didn’t get it. The owner didn’t even come take a look, despite promising he would. When I brought up the other problems, he told us to get out. The apartment hadn’t been cleaned. There was trash from the previous guest behind the bed, a thick layer of dirt underneath it, a moldy shower, and a cracked dish sponge in the sink. I told the owner, but he just said he’d cleaned it and handed it over. The ad said 60sqm (!!), but the owner counted the terrace in that figure. It was actually 35-40sqm, more like a hole than a spacious apartment. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

The location was okay, but our cottage was dirty. It looked like the bathroom hadn’t seen cleaning products for ages, and there wasn’t even any toilet paper. ;) If the owner had just left the cottage clean for guests, I’d have given it 100%.
