Villa Oliver 3 Siófok

We were late getting to reception, but the staff, who speak fluent English and are very helpful, offered to wait for us. One thing to know is that when we visited, reception was at another location, Oliver 1, about 800 metres down the street. They hadn't told us in advance, though it wasn't a major problem. Our apartment was spacious, clean, and fully equipped. Upstairs, the large terrace is divided so each apartment has its own section. The location is great, too: no lake view, but only a five-minute walk to the shore. Wi-Fi worked, although it was rather slow at times.

We had a nice stay. The hosts were kind and very helpful, and the restaurants are nearby. It's a four-minute walk to the beach, while the city is about 20 minutes away along a pleasant route by the beach. There's parking right in front of the door. The rooms were clean, the terrace was nice, and breakfast was good and plentiful. The bedroom is upstairs, the kitchen is on the first floor, and the restroom is very large. It was nearly perfect.

The lake was beautiful, and the place was clean, spacious, and quiet. We were picked up at the train station, which was thoughtful, and the receptionist helped us order pizza. It was the worst pizza of my life, but that's not their fault. There were quite a few downsides: the breakfast was dry bread and tasteless industrial products, the Wi-Fi didn't work, and the place wasn't as pretty as the photos. The bedroom window opened by itself once. Checkout was messy, and it's a 30-minute walk to the city center. Also, there's nothing to do in Siofok between seasons.

The kitchen is fully equipped, but the place was a bit chilly. There's no heating apart from the air conditioner, which is noisy and not in the bedroom. There weren't any blankets in the bedroom either. We didn't get breakfast when expected because they forgot to bring it the night before. In the morning it arrived around 9, with checkout due by 10.
