We arrived and couldn’t get hold of the staff. After waiting half an hour, we were told there were no seats available, even though we had a reservation.

We had confirmed our booking well ahead of time, but two days before we were due to arrive, the accommodation provider asked us to cancel because another guest wanted the room. That’s completely unacceptable, especially as there weren’t any other rooms available in town.

Two days before we were due to arrive, he doubled the price and cancelled the booking, despite having confirmed the original amount by email. He’d also confirmed the date and number of guests in that message, then changed his mind and blamed me. Untrustworthy!
