The first of my two stays there was fine. I returned a very short time later and got the same room, but that second stay was a nightmare. The floor in the bathroom was filthy and sticky, and there was a pubic hair on the toilet rim. The room clearly hadn’t been made up properly, with serious housekeeping failures. There was hardly any outdoor lighting or security, and I was the only guest there overnight. Breakfast was OK. I didn’t try the restaurant. Send in the Hotel Inspector!

The neighborhood was beautiful, and we had a great time trying all the food options, which were excellent. The lemonade was lovely too. I especially liked the garden, with shaded tables, flowers and a cat. We’ll be back soon, particularly to try the desserts.

The restaurant food was really delicious, and the staff made us feel welcome with their kindness. It’s a lovely place to spend the night. I’d definitely stay again if I’m in the area.
