Ja Gverem Fogada

I've been here a few times to eat, so I can't say much about the rooms. It's in a quiet part of Sopron, with seating in the yard or indoors. The service is nice and included in the price. There's not much variety on the menu, but the food is freshly made, which matters more to me. The schnitzel and Cordon are 10/10. The pizza is okay, nothing special. I'll definitely come again.

The steamed venison leg (párolt őzcomb) looked like one of the most tempting dishes on the menu, so I ordered it. What arrived was dry and tough, probably reheated in the microwave. My knife couldn't get through the hardest bits, which I had to leave. I complained to the waiter, but they offered no compensation. Treating tourists this way is shameful.

The food is delicious and creative, while still keeping traditional Hungarian flavors and touches. The restaurant is spacious, modern, and clean, and the service is fantastic. English and German are no problem. They're also very good with children, even accommodating my fussy child. It's in the historic center of one of Hungary's most beautiful cities, and it's one of my favorite restaurants in Western Hungary. I'd highly recommend it if you're looking for somewhere good to eat in Sopron.

For two nights, it was relatively affordable, and I had one of the tastiest salami pizzas. Breakfast could be better, and it was a challenge finding more people who spoke English or German. We did manage to work things out in the end.
