Domino Panzi

The workers were so loud that I couldn't sleep in the paper-thin-walled place. I got there around 7pm and left by 11pm because of the noise. The place was full of construction workers.

I asked for the bill with the check, but there wasn't a bill book. They said, in a very dismissive tone, that I should pay and the bill would be mailed to me. So I asked for the customers' book. It quickly became clear that it wasn't the place to continue arguing, so I drew consumer protection's attention to it.

We only stayed one night, and it was the worst accommodation I've ever had. The value for money was way off too. At check-in, someone who was presumably the receptionist said we had to pay upfront, and only in cash. The amount was completely different from the website price. We got no receipt or bill, and they didn't register us. Cleanliness was questionable, and the bathroom was awful. The door was stuck and couldn't be closed. There were dirty rags by the front door, and the outdoor seating area was grimy too. Then around 7 am the next morning, someone tried to unlock our room from outside. Luckily, the key was in the inside lock. When we opened the door, another gentleman muttered that he'd brought the wrong key. He didn't even say sorry. Where was he going, and why was he trying to get in?

It's a workers' hostel, just so that's clear, but a more decent one. The rooms were obviously renovated a few years back, while the bathroom wasn't. Condensation seems to be the issue, and the bathroom door shows it. Still, it was clean, the staff were nice, and it was normal for this category. I gave it 3 stars because of the price. If it were cheaper, I'd even give it 4.
