Bungalow Park

The staff at reception were kind, friendly, and spoke English. We stayed in a bungalow facing the river, but cleanliness was below average: the bed and duvets were stained, and the washroom needed more cleaning and some work. The kitchen was very basic, with just one pan, one saucepan, a few plates, and cutlery. There’s no Wi-Fi in the bungalow, though a large shared work area has internet. The kiosk selling beer, chips, and sandwiches stayed open past midnight. The pool isn’t heated. A paid washing machine is available for everyone, but there’s no dryer. There’s a supermarket and a few takeaway places nearby, and kayaks were available to rent. If you can, ask for a river-facing bungalow away from the youth hostel, which can be noisy late into the night.

Everything went perfectly!

We spent two nights here while traveling from Budapest to visit Szentendre. It’s a charming little campsite with a fun feel. Everything we needed was available, though the sanitary facilities aren’t state of the art. For the price, it compares poorly with the brand-new Arena Camping in Budapest. Still, it was all fine for us.
