Maria and Laszlo are friendly and speak German, English, and Hungarian. The apartments are clean, with Hungarian TV, a fully equipped kitchen, and free WiFi. I definitely recommend booking Maria's breakfast.

The room is a quiet, well-equipped place to stay, with a kitchenette, stove, microwave, refrigerator, and washing machine. It looks out onto a garden with a tiny but charming pond, and has air conditioning, which matters in summer. Smoking and pets aren't allowed on the property. The center of Szentendre is about a 20-minute walk away. It's a fantastic base for a Szentendre stay or for exploring Budapest, around half an hour away by car or on the HEV suburban train, which runs every 30 minutes. I highly recommend it.

The lady who runs the guesthouse was kind and helpful, and payment by SZÉP card was possible. It's easy to get to, with the main road 11 about 100 meters away and Lidl a few minutes on foot. The retired couple run it from their own house. There were three of us, staying in two rooms upstairs at the back of the building. We had a large kitchen, a bathroom with a toilet, and a huge covered terrace with tables and chairs. It suited us perfectly, and we were able to relax in peace.

The room doors were hard to shut, and the toilet door couldn't close all the way because there wasn't enough room to fit inside once it was shut. Showering felt like using a sink tray, with the water falling into it from quite a height. The TV only worked with a long switch, since the remote that came with it didn't seem to match the TV. I didn't leave with the best memories.
