We were told it was a pension, as if that explained why it didn’t meet our expectations, but I think that’s a lame excuse. The rooms smell, everything looks old and poorly maintained, and the shower hot water doesn’t work properly. The stairs are uneven, with one unstable step that seems a little dangerous. I don’t recommend it.
They clearly aren’t prepared for a bigger group. The food was awful and the portions small, there was no hot water in the morning, and the beds were uncomfortable, including the pullout couches.
It’s a confusing place, but it’s got spirit.
We came with our class, and the hosts were nice and helpful. The rooms were fine, though the upstairs armchairs could use some renovation and there’s room for that. It’s near the city center, with a shop and Volánbusz stop close by, and you can walk down to the beach in the evening. The location is perfect. I’d love to come back. We came on a class trip and the rooms didn’t look like the pictures. They were dirty, the bed linen was torn, there was no mosquito net, and the toilet wouldn’t flush. It smelled awful. We cooked in a pot instead of asking for food, but there was no sink, so don’t expect detergent or a sponge. There were only about five pieces of cutlery. The center is 3-4 km away.
