The design was only moderate, but the food was excellent. The restaurant staff were among the nicest and most polite I’ve ever met.

There’s not much nearby besides peace, quiet and nature, so this isn’t the spot for an exciting outing. But if you want a quiet break deep in the forest near the Danube, while still within reach of Budapest, this inn fits. The rooms are mostly huge, and it has that rustic old Hungarian country guesthouse feel, rather than just a tiny room. The food is good, though it could be better.

It’s about 500 meters to the boat that takes you to the Szentendre town. The family hotel is in a peaceful spot, cozy, and full of its own character and history. The owner and staff are super welcoming. They grow herbs and things like mint and onion in a small garden, and the food is delicious. I totally recommend it.

There’s greenery all around, and the messy chic decor is a treat if that’s your thing. The rooms are clean and tidy, the food is superb, and the staff are super nice. Seems like a great place for weddings or team buildings. Try the lemonade!

The menu has become really dull, the food doesn’t excite me at all, and the drinks are outrageously expensive for no good reason. I’ve been here a dozen times in different seasons with friends and family, and stayed in the panzio for a few days. But the last visit was a major disappointment. I’m not sure I’ll be back anytime soon.
