The pension worked well for what my family needed: a fair price for one night and an easy walk to the entrance to Szalajka Valley. We had a tasty buffet breakfast, and the csocso and billiard table on the terrace upstairs were a great idea. There was plenty of space in the parking lot. The town and mountains are beautiful, and we came home feeling nicely recharged. Our room could use some maintenance. The wardrobe handle was broken, and the shower door only closed halfway, leaving water all over the bathroom after a shower. There wasn’t a mop to clean it up. The small bathroom vent also didn’t clear the steam very well, which made the room hotter. It was hot in the room, and there were no mosquito screens on the windows. A fan was provided and helped a lot, but screens would be more economical and better for the environment, since guests could air out the room and let in the pleasant evening mountain air during summer. I also think the building and rooms could use some updating. The color combinations felt a little odd to me, and the yellow brick-like wall decoration in the dining room was unusual. Tasteful colors, layout, and decor can do a lot for the atmosphere and quality of a place. That’s just my opinion and a suggestion. We didn’t come away with a bad experience. We’re not a very picky family, and I don’t mean to criticize the pension. I hope the feedback is useful. Thank you.

The place is basic. There’s no air conditioning or extractor fan, and the bathroom is only about 1.5 square meters. The sink’s corner valve was leaking, so water was left standing on the floor. The TV seemed about 25 years old and buzzed.

We had a great stay in every way with our two children, and the people working there are lovely. We’ll be back! I don’t understand why people call it rotten. If you want something better, stay at a hotel and pay three times as much. If money’s no issue, why pick a guesthouse?

We stopped in for breakfast, which was 1000 HUF per person. There was bread, butter, jam, tomatoes, cold cuts, cheese, tea, and sausage.

The setting is beautiful, the food is really tasty and plentiful, and the service was perfect. The staff were so helpful and kind. I can only say good things!
