Tavas Barlang Apartman Tapolca

The cave itself is about 16 degrees, and getting there is part of the adventure. In places the openings are very low, so someone needs to row while another person helps guide the boat through. Don’t try doing it alone. It’s awkward if you want to take photos, speaking from experience: with only two hands, you’re either steering or taking pictures. Even so, I’d recommend the trip. It’s a great activity, though book tickets online ahead of time to avoid standing in a winding queue on Tapolca Street in the hot sun. Online bookings also require choosing a time. Once inside, there’s an interesting educational presentation, but it gets almost hot and stuffy upstairs. You can head down to the cave during the presentation if you don’t want to stay for it.

We were welcomed so warmly, and the accommodation had everything we needed. Mr. Csaba is a wonderful person, and I can only say good things about him. We’ll probably come back 😁😁😁

Everything about the accommodation was perfect. The owner is a very kind, helpful older gentleman!

It’s a good fit for a shorter stay. The comforts may be a bit 20th century, but if you have lots of dogs, you can feel right at home.
