Echo Residence All Suite Hotel

I was very disappointed. I’d booked a room specifically with air conditioning, but there wasn’t any, and the hot weather made it really uncomfortable to sleep. Breakfast was the worst I’ve had. There was no chef, and the receptionist prepared it, which says a lot about the service. The balcony was covered in spider webs and clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. Then construction work began just outside at 8 AM, so sleeping in was out of the question. I wish I could give zero stars. Not recommended.

The view is nice, and the place is nice too. The waitress was very kind. The parking area is small, and the wellness centre closes at 19:00, which is early if you’re hoping to relax after spending all day on the water. I’d be quite disappointed by that.

The location is perfect, the apartments look luxurious at first, and spa and wellness are included. A massage costs extra, but was worth every penny. Still, I can’t get past what happened at Karolina Fuszerkertje Etterem / Echo Residence. The half-board dinner, advertised as a candlelit four-course meal, was awful and inedible. The tables and cutlery were dirty. I felt discriminated against because the half-board and à la carte guests were seated in separate rooms. I don’t understand why Echo Residence offers such poor restaurant service while calling itself a five-star hotel. The reception manner was inappropriate, there was a lack of maintenance in the room, and surrounding buildings blocked the view.

We booked the Premium residence, but the bathroom was dirty and the apartment looked like it hadn’t been redecorated in years. There were only two towels for two people, no extra towel for the spa and no slippers. The bathrobes were torn, and our private sauna didn’t work. We discovered the sauna problem at 8:40 pm and called reception and every number we could find, but nobody answered. There was no one at reception from 8:50 pm until morning, so we couldn’t change rooms or get the sauna fixed. This was supposed to be a 5-star hotel. Dinner was well below average, despite being advertised as a candlelit four-course meal. The starter was cheese on sliced bread, the soup was almost cold, the main course was okay for a 2-star hotel, and dessert was okay. The experience was horrible and far too expensive. It might have been good when new, but now it’s terrible, more like a 2-star hotel priced as a 3-star one. We complained at reception the next morning and said we wouldn’t pay for the room, only the dinner. The desk staff were friendly, and we only paid for dinner, but it still ruined the feeling of receiving this as a Christmas gift. I would never stay there again and do not recommend it to anyone.
