The Balaton shore is close, and there are restaurants and shops nearby. The house itself is old, though, and the staff seemed unprofessional and incompetent.

The staff were friendly and flexible, and the restaurant, beach, and disco were all nearby. The living room was large and easy to access, the bathroom was great with a bathtub, and there was a big TV with a USB input plus two fans. On our first day, my friend spilled booze all over my jeans and T-shirt, and the owner's mother-in-law kindly washed them the next day. The main issue was cleanliness, especially the bed linen, and there were dead bugs on the ledges. Without mosquito nets, the rooms became full of insects in the evenings. We had to spend three tries and two days dealing with the stairwell before we got the lighting working. The pool water made it unusable, and the ping pong table surface was unusable too. There was no drying rack, toilet paper, or dishwashing liquid on hand. We were mostly satisfied, and with more attention to these little things, it could be a very good place to stay.

The beach and restaurants are within walking distance, and the owner was nice and tidy. But we stayed in the Presidential five-person apartment, and the cleanliness really wasn't good enough for us, especially with children. The pull-out corner sofa in the living room was in poor shape. It was fine folded up, but a disaster and very uncomfortable when opened. The children had been looking forward to the jacuzzi and pool shown in the picture, but neither was there. The listing also mentioned a restaurant, though there isn't one. A locker for wet clothes would have helped, too. For the price, we expected more.

The reception was so bad I can hardly describe it. The place was dirty, smelly, and run-down, like something from the 1970s. We wouldn't stay here again even if it were free.
