I booked at the last minute after being invited to a wedding, since I expected the party to run late and needed somewhere to stay. Calling the owner was a good experience: she helped me with practical things to know about a city I don't know at all. Check-in was flexible, and when I arrived around 15, the hosts helped me park my bike. A good first impression. The house is in the city center, only about a five-minute walk away. The room was clean and tidy, just like the listing. I'd book it again if I'm in Zalaegerszeg.

We only found out in the afternoon that we'd need to stay overnight in Zalaegerszeg, so we had to find somewhere in a hurry. Vén diófa was full, and a waiter there recommended the neighbor's place. He welcomed us warmly, and I was completely satisfied. The room and bathroom had everything we needed, including TV and Wi-Fi. We could shop at Interspar just a few meters away.

The owner and his wife were so helpful. When I became unwell on the street, he came to get me and took me home, where they treated my wound. I'm very grateful to them. It's a quiet, peaceful place.

There was hair left by other guests, even on the supposedly fresh bedding. It didn't smell fresh, and there was no fabric softener scent. Cobwebs everywhere. The place seems to be run by an older generation, and maybe they're less able to keep up with the tasks. Hygiene is fundamental! I felt uncomfortable touching anything.
