Apartman Mercédesz II.

A nice, clean place at a fair price, and the host lady is very nice. I’d recommend it to anyone.

We had to be out by 9 a.m., and nobody was there then, so we couldn't give our feedback in person. Last year we stayed elsewhere in town for about the same price and got what seemed like a brand-new apartment with two rooms, a living room, separate kitchen, and terrace. There was no space there this year, unfortunately. This place fell far short of what the reviews had led us to expect. The apartment was just a small room and bathroom. The walls were cracked, the sheets were old and fluffy, and the blackout curtain was so thin that I woke up to a fully bright room in the morning, thinking I'd left it open. One wall had a door-shaped gap filled with plastered-over Styrofoam. There was no air conditioning, though there was a mosquito net, and the bathroom smelled unpleasantly of sewage. A very nice woman greeted us and explained things in the yard. She waited while we went upstairs to fill in the registration form, after which we had to pay straight away. That felt unusual, since other places have asked us to pay after the stay. I was also told that one key could open all the doors, including the gate. I didn't test it, but it left me uneasy about whether our things were secure, and whether other guests' keys could open our apartment too. Given the ratings, it seemed possible we'd been put somewhere quite different from what they described.

We were happy with the apartment and would recommend it. The rooms had good equipment, and we especially appreciated the shutters and mosquito nets during the hot, mosquito-filled weather. Our room also had pleasant air conditioning. The landlady explained everything we needed to know about the city. It was a very nice apartment, with a little tower. The only thing we missed was a microwave.

The owner was kind, and the apartments were clean and well equipped.
