The view is fabulous, even with grey weather, and the cottage feels like arriving home. It's very pleasant, friendly, and has everything you might need, plus extra touches. Helpful signs around the house make it easy to find your way, and the heating works perfectly even in winter. It's probably the best place we've stayed so far. I gave four stars for two reasons. After picking up the key, our GPS took us along a very rough, bumpy road, and we wondered if the car could manage it or if we should turn back. We later learned we only needed to drive up the street in front of the Vasparipa restaurant, which leads almost straight to the house. Also, we hadn't been told the gas heating bill had to be paid in cash at checkout. That wouldn't have been a big issue, but we were scolded instead of receiving an apology. A note about it, perhaps under the thermostat, would have fit with all the other helpful signs.

The terrace opens onto a breathtaking view of the Danube bend. Zebegény and the 🐿️ house completely captivated me. This little 🏡 feels like a peaceful island, a place everyone wanting a break from the daily grind should see. I highly recommend it and will definitely return.

We've stayed here before, and it's still a wonderful place, a real island of peace. The Danube view is stunning. I'd gladly recommend it to anyone looking to relax away from the noise of the city.
