We had the whole place to ourselves during the HKTK Dog School dog camp, and the reception team were kind and helpful. Everything was clean, and the mattresses were comfortable for us. Our apartment had air conditioning and an induction hob, so keep in mind that a regular coffee maker won’t work with it. You can buy coffee from the host, though. The set lunch was delicious, and I wholeheartedly recommend it. The pool was great in 35-degree heat, with shady spots around if you need a break from the sun. We parked right beside the apartment, and the Bakony Mountains nearby make a good base for excursions.

There are plenty of activities and places to explore nearby, even in winter. We stayed over New Year’s Eve and another night with our three children, and the horse paddock visible from the window in the morning was a favorite with them. For a family that loves horses, this place is paradise. The rooms were practical, well equipped, and comfortable. We also made good use of the sauna and hot tub. Fresh air, animals close by, friendly staff, and tasty food all helped us have a wonderful stay. We loved it.

We were 14 family members staying for an afternoon and the night after. The lady who runs the Fairy Farm arranged a peasant Olympics, with games like sack jumping, horseshoe throwing, and rolling hay bales. Everyone was laughing the whole time. We slept in the large central wooden house, which has several smaller rooms, and liked the accommodation. There’s also a pavilion, beer garden, and riding stable. The wood-fired outdoor bath was brilliant even in minus-five-degree weather, and there’s a sauna right beside it. Everything was clean, and the grounds were neat. Mobile signal was mostly available in the yard, though there was Wi-Fi. A small lake behind the accommodation was frozen when we visited. The hours flew by, and I think we’ll come back. It could also work for weddings, and I recommend it.

The animals are so well looked after, including horses, piglets, poultry, and goats, that I’d especially recommend this place for children. The rooms are tasteful, the scenery is beautiful, and both the owner and staff are kind. The food was delicious too.
