I had to find another place after booking a stay for Aug 18-20. The reservation showed as confirmed, but I never got a booking number or ID, and the money was already taken from my account. Neither Booking nor the hotel has explained what happened. I emailed the hotel with no reply, while Booking keeps asking for documents I’ve already sent three times. Now €400 is gone, and it feels like both the hotel and Booking are going to keep it. Be careful with this place. It seems fraudulent, and they still aren't answering my emails.

The staff were lovely and genuinely helpful, and our room was clean, comfortable, and nicely presented. From it, we had a hard-to-beat view of the rice paddies and the pool below. We came a few weeks before Bali got busy, and it was a great place to unwind. There isn't much to do nearby apart from the water temple up the road, though that's no fault of the hosts. A few local restaurants are within walking distance. Just be aware that the road outside is narrow and busy.

The restaurant was a highlight for me, with delicious, authentic Balinese dishes. The staff were warm and attentive, and went out of their way to make the stay memorable. My room at AlamGangga Villas was comfortable and beautifully designed, and the view of all that lush greenery was stunning, especially in the morning. It felt like a little piece of paradise. AlamGangga Villas brought together comfort, lovely scenery, great hospitality, and good food. I'd love to come back.

The rice fields give this place a peaceful feel, and Teerta Ganga is close by. There aren't major tourist attractions nearby, but the rooms are awesome and the staff are really helpful.

Great views over the rice terraces, with Tirta Ganga Temple an easy walk away and Lempunyang temple about a 15-minute drive. It works well as a base for two or three days of exploring the eastern part of the island.
