Just a note for future guests: being right among Ubud’s rice fields means you’ll hear and see lizards, geckos, frogs, and other natural sounds. For me, that was part of the Bali experience. It felt safe and secure, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Whenever I needed anything, they came right over with a smile. Villa Padiku Ubud was clean and cozy, with a lovely private pool. It sits beside rice fields and a beautiful lotus pond, surrounded by hibiscus, plumeria, and lots of other tropical plants and flowers. Warung Semana is on site and has a good range of Balinese food and drinks. Breakfast was included, with Indonesian and English choices, fresh fruit, and juice. It’s about 20 minutes by bike from central Ubud. I’m so glad I chose it for my first Bali visit.
