The beach is so rocky that it barely feels like a beach. I also found the restaurant food overpriced, and the flavors seemed adjusted for typical Western tastes. On the plus side, the rooms are clean and tidy, with AC, Wi-Fi and Western-style bathrooms, all at reasonable prices. The natural setting is beautiful, with lots of trees, and the restaurant has a great range of fresh juices.

We only spent two nights, but it was a really good stay. The rooms were fine overall, especially given that they weren’t very expensive, though I think you could find them cheaper. They felt a bit outdated, and the bathroom wasn’t quite up to my standard. Collin Beach Hotel is breathtaking, at least the surroundings are. Just outside by the road there’s a small shop with essentials, plus a local diner where you can get really good meals for very low prices.

From a “western Tourist” point of view, the place feels a bit odd and seems better suited to weddings with lots of guests. If you’re waiting for your Visa, boat or something else, it could be an option just outside Ambon. Check whether there’s an event during your stay.

The service was friendly, and the place has clean rooms with western-style WC and free Wi-Fi. The nature-themed view is beautiful. Restaurant food was overpriced for the kind of food served, though. Even so, I’d recommend this as a budget hotel.

It’s a quiet, relaxed spot with a really good room and a lovely view of the sea. The place is beautiful, with lots of space and gorgeous trees. You can even eat breakfast facing the sea. Sadly, there’s no hot water.
