The Orchid Hotel

There are lots of good places to eat nearby, and breakfast is included in the reasonable room price. The staff were friendly, and the room was clean with a comfortable bed. The hot shower was nice, and the bathroom was especially clean. The towels were a bit threadbare and the sheets had a few stains. The AC smelled musty at first, though the smell went away and the room cooled well. Some of the walls could use fresh paint. Not bad overall, and I'd stay here again.

It's quiet at night, even in my windowless room tucked between two corridors. The staff are friendly, and the location puts you right in central Ambon while staying peaceful. Nothing fancy, just a no-fuss place that delivers good value. You could do worse.

The staff are very friendly, and it's good value if you don't mind walking several meters for your meals. The hotel is clean, in the middle of the city, and next to merdeka Square. Rooms have air-conditioning and are reasonably well maintained. That's why I gave it four stars.

We live outside the city and often stop here when we're in town. It's a clean, modern hotel with friendly staff, and we also know the owner. They're always willing to help when we have guests who need a place to stay in Ambon. We book over the phone directly, and they're always looking for ways to improve the hotel. Dutch medical teams doing volunteer work in Ambon stay here too.
