Sanghyang Indah Spa Resort

The grounds were huge, and the hotel sits right by the beach. We arrived at 9 am and she arranged an early check-in for us. The staff member was really helpful, and I was so grateful.

We came back for a second stay, this time choosing a night in a newer building and paying extra because we had our 14-month-old with us. On our first visit, the older building had been comfortable, with working AC in both the bedroom and living room. This time we hoped for a cleaner, more comfortable place for the family to rest, but it was a big letdown. The room's AC barely cooled anything. The floors looked like they hadn't been cleaned properly, the garage had dry leaves all over it, and there were lots of mosquitoes. Ants came out at night, the kettle was dirty, and we were given only two sets of cutlery instead of the four promised. They offered to move us, but with all our luggage and a young child, that wasn't practical. We checked the suggested room and its AC was also poor. The living room had no fan or AC, and opening the doors for air just let mosquitoes in to bite our child. As adults, we might have put up with the lack of proper cooling, but our baby couldn't. When we spoke to reception, staff said each villa has its own strengths and weaknesses. That left me wondering why the room we booked cost so much more. The stay didn't come close to what we expected.

The room was clean and well kept. Dspa is a must when we're here. Good job by the well-trained staff, and a special shout-out to Emi Aenia.
