Breakfast with the ocean breeze was a lovely way to start the day, and it was the highlight of our mornings. There was a wide selection, from Indonesian food like Nasi Goreng to Western dishes, fresh pastries, and an egg station. Everything tasted fresh and high-quality. We left with full hearts and full stomachs. Our stay at Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel felt magical. The team made us feel like family from check-in, and the hospitality was second to none. The room was spacious, impeccably clean, and peaceful after a day exploring Kuta. Lush tropical gardens and being close to the beach made every walk through the resort feel like a dream. It blends traditional Balinese charm with modern comfort. Thanks to the whole team for making our vacation special. We can't wait to come back!

The staff were quick and efficient. Whenever we called with a request, they accommodated it right away. Breakfast also had a good mix, from bacon, eggs, and bread to Indian and Indonesian dishes and desserts. The daily kids' activities were nice, and our children joined in something each day. Discovery hotel is centrally located in Kuta, next door to Discovery Mall, with shops, restaurants, and Waterbom park within walking distance. The rooms are dated and need an upgrade, especially the old, slippery bathrooms. Evening noise was unacceptable and wasn't clearly communicated before booking. Every night from 7 to 10pm, someone sang by the pool and in the downstairs restaurant. It was very loud. We'd been out doing activities all day and wanted some peace when we got back, but didn't get that during our three-night stay. The balcony glass door wouldn't close properly, and we had several geeckos in the room. The air conditioner in the main living area didn't cool properly either. Maintenance came within minutes and did their best, but it still didn't work as it should. The pools were very deep: the main pool ranged from 1.8 to 2 metres. The kids wanted somewhere they could stand, but the only kids' or toddler pool was 0.4 metres, too shallow for them.

We booked this place just the night before arriving, mainly for the location, kids’ facilities, and big pool. The pool ended up being the family highlight, with lots for the kids to enjoy, and the pizza we had there was really good. My 90-minute spa massage was relaxing too. The rooms aren’t especially modern in style, but ours was spotless and everything worked. We hadn’t expected much, so the stay turned out pleasantly better than we thought.

A quiet beach run followed by breakfast made for a lovely start to the day. The staff were kind and attentive at both meals and check-in. Stella greeted us yesterday with such a warm smile that we immediately felt at ease, and Septi, Neva, Ayu, and Desak looked after us wonderfully at breakfast this morning. A great choice for a family break. Happy New Year to everyone!
