It’s a safe local area, with shops and restaurants about a five minute walk away. The tourist area is a bit farther, around 15 minutes by motorcycle. I liked staying in a neighborhood that felt local, and the kitchen staying open until 10 pm was handy on lazy evenings. Our two level room had a living room downstairs and bedroom upstairs. It was clean, with a comfortable bed, hot shower and cold AC. Room service came daily, and breakfast was included, with four options plus coffee and watermelon. The reception, kitchen and other staff were friendly and respectful. The outdoor area looked nice, though I didn’t try the pool because it was rainy season. The washroom could use some work.

There’s not much to recommend beyond the location. The garden and pool look well cared for from outside, but indoors the cheap furniture is falling apart. The bathroom was dirty, and the bed and sheets had marks and stains. The bedroom is upstairs and there’s no toilet up there.

The upstairs bed has a nice ambience, and the room and location are decent. Some facilities and the bathroom feel dated, but it does the job.

The strategic location is what made me stay, but the room had a cigarette ash in the bathroom, which was unpleasant and dirty. I hope they improve the service quality too. The staff hardly seemed able to smile.

The staff were friendly and lovely, but that didn’t make up for how dirty this place was. Dust was everywhere, the bathroom was filthy, and visible stains were all over. I asked politely twice for the problem to be dealt with. Nothing changed except that the sink was cleaned. The floor and bathtub were never washed. I had to ask for fresh sheets when I arrived because there was a clear stain on the bed. I don’t normally have allergies, but I couldn’t stop sneezing and got itchy rashes on my body. The shower also failed completely twice, including this morning when I was trying to get ready for the airport. Avoid this hotel.
