Jesen's Inn II

I kept changing hotels around Kuta and Legian on my first seven trips to Bali, thinking I’d eventually find the right one. Jesen's Inn 2 came close enough that I returned the following year after staying there in 2023, and I’m planning another visit in 2025. It sits on a quiet alley linking to Jalan Bakung Sari, where there’s plenty around, and there’s ample front parking for the scooter I rent. The reception team in particular are cheerful and keen to help. Rooms feel like good value compared with nearby places, the Wi-Fi is dependable, and the air-conditioning works well. I’d pay a bit more for a superior room if I wanted an extra treat.

We paid 600k IDR for two nights and came away feeling it wasn’t worth it. The place looks appealing outside, but the room itself was quite plain. It was clean enough and the room and toilet were okay, though soap was the only toiletry supplied. Water from the shower, jet spray, and basin was only hot or extremely hot. There was no landline, the Wi-Fi was very weak, and the staff were extremely rude.

We came back for a second stay and were happy both times. Nice place, clean pool, and the staff were welcoming and helpful.

For what it costs, I wouldn’t say it’s worth staying here. The outside looks cool, but inside felt more like a hostel room. There wasn’t a wardrobe or even a bin, and the bathroom was dirty enough that I had to ask someone to clean it. I also saw cockroaches, though that can happen in Bali.
