The pool was dirty, and communication was difficult because none of the staff spoke English. They were kind and helpful, but didn’t improve our stay. We also saw a mouse twice. The hotel looks good in its photos, but the reality was horrible, with damaged furniture, stains on the walls, sheets, pillows and towels, and limescale all over the sink and shower. When I put a water bottle on the bathroom sink, pieces of it came off. The place is in terrible shape and seems to be falling apart. We spent two weeks there and had trouble from the start. We waited almost an hour for our room after arriving because nobody was available to help with our luggage. We ended up changing rooms five times. The first had a broken refrigerator and no hot water, the second had broken air conditioning, the third again had no hot water, and the fourth had no working Wi-Fi. In response to our complaints, staff just suggested moving again and hoping the next room would be better. We absolutely don’t recommend this hotel. It was an extremely disappointing experience.
The noise made it impossible to rest. Kids ran up and down the halls screaming and stomping for hours, and tried to open our door. Their parents never asked them to quiet down. We’d travelled all night and were exhausted, but couldn’t get proper rest in the afternoon or evening. We thought about leaving as soon as we saw the room, but were too tired to manage it. The room was in awful condition: stains on the bed and pillows, holes in the ceiling, dust everywhere, and a broken, dirty, stained mirror. The bathroom was disgusting, with limescale all over and revolting shower heads. We didn’t shower. The sink tap and toilet roll holder were rusty, and rust got onto the toilet paper. Even a little wind made the windows rattle loudly. Getting inside was a mess too. There was a ramp separate from the stairs, and we chose it for our big suitcases. My friend nearly fell because the shiny granite was so slippery, with hardly any grip. Our Grab driver tried to help and fell himself before reaching the top. Then the door wouldn’t open. We knocked on the glass several times while people inside ignored us at first. Someone eventually pointed us toward the stairs instead of opening the door. We had to go back down the ramp and carry on via the steps. My friend laid her suitcase down and pushed it, and it shot down the slippery ramp. A terrible stay, and I would not recommend this place to anyone. Check reviews on several sites and look at the pictures. We’ve stayed in much cheaper places in several locations that were nicer in every way.
For $17 (160,000rup) a night, I can’t complain. I only stayed one night, on a budget, and just needed a decent sleep. The bed was the best part, large and comfortable. It clearly used to be a nice hotel, but it closed during the pandemic and could use some TLC. This isn’t a 4 Star hotel, but I’m giving it four stars for comfort and value. If you’re after luxury, this isn’t the place; for a comfortable room at a great price, book it.
The photos make it look brand new, but the rooms are actually old, dirty and rusty, and badly maintained. The shower only had cold water, and the TV didn’t work.
The Wi-Fi was faster than at other places, and whenever we asked for something, the staff brought it right away. One of our rooms had cockroaches, probably because a drain in the cr was open, but they sealed it and we didn’t see any more afterward. The room was kind of dark with only three table lamps. I’m used to white light, and the warm bulbs gave it a creepy feel 😅
