We stayed four nights in a one-bedroom villa at The Samaya Ubud and really enjoyed the private pool and lovely facilities. The complimentary shuttle into Ubud’s main street also made getting around easy, and the dining was excellent. The villa and the rest of the property were beautifully kept. Our villa was spotless, an especially welcome thing in this climate. Komang at the restaurant gave us warm, attentive service every day, and Made at the spa made the experience relaxing and professional. They both helped make the stay feel personal. We’d happily return.

We booked through Trailfinders and were impressed with their organisation and support. Our first stay in a private villa was such a lovely experience that it won’t be our last. The Samaya has complete privacy and a private pool, with beautiful scenery all around. Both restaurants have incredible views, and the food was exceptional. Every staff member we met was polite, helpful, and happy to chat. Komang, the restaurant manager, was especially friendly, and I loved our conversations. Thanks to him for bringing durrian from home, too! Roy also made our Balinese cooking class a real delight. The lush setting overlooking the Ayung River was wonderful.

The staff made us feel cared for throughout our stay, and on arrival they placed a fresh flower necklace around our neck, a lovely touch. There’s a photographer at the hotel whose pictures of your moments can serve as lasting reminders of the holiday. The grounds are vast, and the restaurant is incredibly beautiful, right beside a tropical river and wild jungle. Everything is thoughtfully organized. My sincere recommendation 🙌

Our first private villa stay in Bali, and we’ll be back. Both restaurants have incredible views, and we never felt rushed to leave, which made it easy to enjoy the surroundings. The setting is amazing, and the villa gave us complete privacy, with exceptional food on offer too. Every staff member was polite, helpful, and happy to chat. A big shoutout to the restaurant manager, Komang Agustiana, for his attention to detail, kindness, and the conversations we shared. We arranged the package through Luxury Escapes, and the whole experience felt luxurious.

From turning down the driveway to being dropped at the airport by the shuttle, we were met with kindness, help, and impeccable service. The luxurious room and delicious restaurant food made it feel like one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Bintari was a kind, helpful, attentive server at breakfast. Redita and the other buggy driver from the day before were great, and the front desk team and all the staff made us feel welcome and understood. If you’re able, splurge and taste a drop of heaven.
