We stayed at Asri Sari Villa, just a five-minute drive away, and stopped in with the family. The front desk woman was lovely and spoke excellent English. She had two cooks working that evening, and even though I ordered a lot of different dishes, they got everything made and served quickly. There’s a good mix of Western and local food, so it’s worth trying if you’re nearby. Merry Christmas from our family from TONGA 🇹🇴.

We spent six nights at Villa 5, with a pool of our own and everything we needed in the villa. The place was spotless. We did have a small ant problem in the room on day one, but the staff fixed it straight away and they didn’t come back. It’s a quiet spot among the rice terraces, and the free shuttle to and from ubud was handy. Everyone was thoughtful and polite, and took care of whatever we needed. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks all tasted great. Thanks for making our stay unforgettable. D & S

We liked being away from the busy streets, even if the location is a little out of the way. The villa was a comfortable size for two, and the property has a lot of charm. Staff were friendly and courteous, and the service was good. Security didn’t look very complete, though there was someone on duty all night. There were insects and geckos at certain times of day. They were mostly harmless, so you just have to get used to them. Meals were included and brought to the room, nicely presented. Dinner was good and generous; I’d go for the local food. Ubud is a lovely area, and I’d consider staying here again.
