Midtown Xpress Balikpapan

I always stay here when I'm passing through Balikpapan. It's handy for an overnight stop, close to the airport and a large shopping complex, with plenty of restaurants nearby if you want to eat out. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There's breakfast on site, and the Cafe serves Indonesian and western dishes.

The included breakfast was a highlight. It had the usual selection, but everything was made beautifully. The room was comfortable and cheap for the price, especially with the Netflix addon.

There's plenty of parking, and they have a meeting room as well. The hotel is on a main road, so the location is good. The air conditioning is cold, which makes sense since they use Daikin, a reputable brand.

The location was great, and the staff were friendly. They helped carry my luggage when I arrived. My room was a bit small, but the bed and pillows were really soft and comfortable. The air felt a little damp, though, and there were food plates left on the floor just outside my door, which made the area look a bit dirty. They said Netflix was available on the TV, but I didn't check it.
