Hotel Royal Suite

I spent 4 nights here. The room was spacious, and the shower and hot water worked fine. Breakfast was included at a good price, and the hotel is near the airport. There were stains on the bedsheet, though, and the place had a creepy feel. Nice hotel otherwise.

A new hotel near Balikpapan Airport, not very big but equipped for meetings, business trips, or a short weekend away. The room was nice, though the bed felt pretty small with all those pillows. There was a bathtub in the bathroom, which was nice. The breakfast buffet wasn't very impressive. They also offer a free shuttle to the airport.

The breakfast was bad enough that I didn't even want to talk to whoever was in charge. I ordered an omelette, and what they brought out was something else, as you can see in the picture. The staff seemed untrained and the service was awful. Also, I paid for a room with one queen bed, but got a twin room because they said they were overbooked. The hotel itself was old, rusty, and dirty. There's nothing royal about it. I almost didn't bother writing this review because the place wasn't worth the time.

When heavy rain comes, water floods the basement, which suggests the drainage is poor. They still insist on using that area even though there are empty spaces in the front lot. I was told it was only for cars, despite seeing two motorcycles parked there at the same time. The front office staff were rude and barely helpful, apparently because we arrived by motorcycle. They didn't ask why we were there, help with our things, smile, or speak politely.
