Please be careful booking through an app. Following the map took me to Cahaya Kost, where the owner said Obby Kost was behind SMP 3 BPP. When I got there, I called the number posted outside and was told they never work with apps. Paying directly on the spot costs 250,000 IDR a night. Beware of fraud.

The service was terrible, and the app information was misleading. The map pin for Obby Guest House was false and led to a shop at another address, so I wandered around for more than two hours. There was no contact listed on the map at the time. In the OYO app, RT 28 had been changed to RT 25, but the pin was still false.

The owner was kind and friendly, and we were satisfied with the service. But the photos, map, and address don't match the actual location. According to the owner of Obby Kost, they have never advertised on an app or partnered with anyone. They also won't let guests stay if they've made a transaction with someone else. To avoid scams, book and pay only directly with the owner.

The original Obby boarding house is not Obby Guest House. The original owner turned me away and said they have no arrangements with anyone and have never advertised on any app. The photos online don't match the real place. The actual property is clean and nice, and the owner is friendly. Since it seemed suitable, I made the booking directly with the original owner. Beware of fraud, and don't trust cheap prices!
