The room listing showed facilities that weren't there, and the property itself was rundown and dirty. It was nothing like the photos. From other reviews, this doesn't seem to be an isolated problem. At check-in, Yulia at the front desk asked us to pay again for a reservation already confirmed and fully paid through Booking.com. The amount she quoted also differed from our booking, which felt like an attempt to scam us. Booking.com has had multiple bad reviews about this property, yet keeps listing it. It also offered no immediate help or support line for an urgent problem. That leaves travelers at real risk. Booking.com should remove the property, and until it does, I strongly urge others not to book this hotel. Save yourself the stress and choose somewhere more reliable.

The listing is badly out of date, so don't count on the facilities it claims to offer. You might still like the place if you arrive expecting it to have nothing. I was asked for 150000rps when I arrived early, even though Booking.com and the other agencies list it at 4000rps. Don't pay extra for anything.

From outside, the hotel looks really nice, but the room needs renovation. The bathroom was old and barely functional. When I arrived, the woman asked me for a different price than the one I had booked.

It has a nice garden and was clean, and the staff were kind and tried to help as much as they could. Still, the place is absolutely run down and overpriced. I've stayed in much better places for less than half the cost. In the evening it gets a haunted sort of feel, which is kind of an interesting experience for a night or two. It wasn't the worst place I've stayed.

For a night or two on a Bali round trip, this could be an interesting stop. It has an out-of-time, out-of-place feeling, and is so different from the usual Bali. There's peace and a particular old-time atmosphere here, but don't expect luxury. Choose the best room and you can have the spacious, mostly empty hotel and its hundreds of meters of oceanfront to yourself. It's a little creepy, and it hasn't changed at all since I was here ten years ago. The place is overpriced, but worth a stay if you enjoy its unusual character.
