Arabia Hotel

I stayed for two nights in Augustus 2024z while on vacation to Sabang, and it was the worst stay I've had in Aceh. The lobby and welcome drink were acceptable, and the receptionist was helpful. Breakfast was okay too, with local food served in an open area on level 4. But at 200k - 300k rupiah, the room and facilities were not acceptable. The rooms smelled very bad, the water pressure was very low, there was no water heater, and the AC didn't work well. The window was broken, the bed was very dirty, and there were lots of insects in the toilet, where the water pressure was low as well. The bed needs to be replaced, not just changed and cleaned. Please avoid this hotel and look for somewhere more comfortable.

I stayed here in 1995 when it was called Cakradonya Hotel, in the Central of Penayong area. I returned on 24 May 2025 and was impressed that it was still the same. The room needs some repairs, but the location and service are still the best for me. I'd choose it again if I travel to Banda Aceh city.

The hotel is nicely located near the mosque, and breakfast is included. Our room was comfortable and clean, with AC. The staff were really friendly. Special thanks to Riyat, who helped us book ferry tickets and took time to tell us about Aceh culture.

The room was roomy, the food was good, and the female staff were lovely and kind. The AC was a letdown, though, and sometimes didn't work properly. My friend even had to switch rooms over it yesterday. The receptionist and staff moved quickly whenever something needed fixing, so I'd still recommend staying here in Banda Aceh.
