A run-down hotel with poor quality rooms. My bed was comfortable, but the sheets were dirty and had cigarette burns. The bathroom was mouldy and filthy, with rat droppings all over it, and there wasn't even a sink. No soap or shower gel either, and hot water ran out in under two minutes. The AC looked new but barely worked, and there was no WiFi. There was no receptionist while I was there. If you needed anything, you had to bang on the staff door and wait for the lazy staff to answer. Nobody spoke English.

The room was okay, and the AC worked well, but the WiFi had problems. Parking is limited, and the hot water takes a while.

I hadn't stayed in a lodging in Banda Aceh before. It cost 200 thousand a night, and check-in went fine. There was Aer when I got there at night, but by morning, when I needed to wash my face, brush my teeth, and use the toilet, there was none. I asked the receptionist, who said the Aer was broken, without even starting with an apology. That hurt, though I wasn't bleeding 😰. I felt there was very little empathy. Just imagine being in our position with a toddler. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else.

We’d paid in full for two nights, but after arriving we were left waiting a long time with no guard there. We couldn’t get a refund, which was really disappointing.

It’s peaceful here, with little traffic noise, even though it’s still in the city. The facilities were clean and comfortable, and food spots and cafes are nearby.
