The beds were comfortable, the rooms roomy, and there were hangers and a cupboard to help keep things tidy. Each room had A/C, though the Wi-Fi slowed down in the evenings. The bathroom seemed not to have been cleaned after the previous guest, and both the tap and shower dripped. For a budget night or short visit in Banda Aceh, it’s okay, but I think there are better options. It also felt a bit too dirty for me, and dated for somewhere once called the swankiest hotel in Banda Aceh. The showers were warm, not cold, but never properly hot, and there were lots of mosquitos in the lobby. Clean enough, though.

I booked directly with the hotel for IDR 250k. Check-in was pretty slow. My room had no prayer mat, so I had to ask at the counter. The bidet was stiff and difficult to use, and water pressure slowed when all the rooms used the toilet at once. The pillow could’ve been fluffier, haha. Overall, it was okay.

The Indonesian Red Cross owns the hotel and uses the benefits for social purposes. They also rent out the hall for public ceremonies.

There’s only a limited breakfast, but the location is good, the room is spacious, and the staff are friendly.
