Ardan Hotel

The sunset from above the fifth floor was lovely, with a peaceful view. I was there last week with colleagues to break our fast together for the first time, and they had an all-you-can-eat package for Ramadan. The food disappointed me a bit, though not because there wasn't enough. The menu was too standard, like what you'd get at a hawker stall. I'm not sure about the price. My colleague had me pay 100 rupiah, so maybe that's about normal. I'll update this about the rooms if I get the chance.

A nice view from the outdoor breakfast terrace, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was tidy, and breakfast seemed fair for the price. The experience was okay overall. They should prioritize the toilet cleanliness and the slightly smelly pillow, though. Hospitality businesses need to get those right.

If you have asthma or don't smoke, this hotel really isn't for you. Guests were allowed to smoke in the hallways and rooms despite the no-smoking signs, and the poor ventilation meant cigarette smoke reached our room in the middle of the night. Staff did nothing about it. I couldn't bear the smell and had a sleepless night, even though we weren't smoking and were still exposed to it. They gave us perfume spray, but the smell came back after 30 minutes. The bathroom tiles and floor had mould, and the shower head was partly blocked.

I spent a weekend here in Bandung. The building is fairly small, on Jalan Sederhana, and not far from PVJ Mall or Cihamplas Mall. The room was fairly neat, but the toilet was dirty and smelled really bad, and the AC didn't work properly. For what you get, I think it's overpriced, with limited facilities, no swimming pool or gym, and narrow parking. Check-in isn't until 3 pm either. I don't recommend staying here.
