Cottonwood Bed & Breakfast

I heard about this place from locals, and it's very close to the heart of the city. If you're tired of going out to places like Lembang or Dago and want to explore Bandung instead, it could be a good option. You can stay here with family, though I'd especially recommend it for couples or solo travelers looking for comfort. The space may be small, but the room service, cleanliness, and atmosphere are appealing.

I booked a Pine Suite and decided to leave right away and find another hotel. There was dirty underwear hanging from the back door handle when I entered. Staff told me the room couldn't be locked because the owner likes to clean it, which made me uneasy. Traffic outside was constant and so noisy that a good night's sleep seemed impossible. Terrible hotel, and I wouldn't recommend booking it.

I stayed alone while in transit for work, paying around 450k a night on the weekend. I had the chamomile room, which felt old, though it was okay for one person. The bed was old, the bathroom narrow, and the Wi-Fi was poor much of the time. The staff were the best part, very helpful. They also don't allow unmarried couples, which I think is a good rule. Maybe booking a particular room theme would get you a nicer room.

We spent the whole day in our room because it was so cosy. The place has a really smart, unusual concept, with a different theme in each room, and it's very cute. The American style mixed with West Java friendliness made our stay feel homey. There wasn't an electric kettle or anywhere to put our bags, so they ended up scattered on the floor. Not a big deal, though.
