Hotel Benua

We had a lovely two-night stay during the Eid holiday. Our superior room for three was big and had a view, so it didn't feel stuffy. The hotel is vintage, and the staff were so helpful. Right when we arrived, security helped us find parking. Check-in was quick, and when we got back late that night to a packed parking area, security offered free valet. In the morning, we were surprised to find hotel staff had already cleaned our car. Breakfast was alright. With about 100 guests having breakfast each day during our stay, there was inevitably a queue, but the staff refilled the food quickly. Breakfast was included with every room, and the extra-person breakfast fee was only 25K. Thanks, Hotel Benua, and the amazing staff!

The housekeeping and front office staff were friendly, and the rooms were fairly comfortable and clean for an affordable hotel. There are restaurants and stalls all around, and the location is convenient, close to the Army Command School. Just don't expect luxury hotel standards. One thing for management to address: guests shouldn't be smoking on non-smoking floors and in non-smoking rooms.

There are lots of nearby restaurants with different kinds of food, and TSM Mall is about a 20-minute walk away. The location is really good. Indonesian hospitality was lovely too, the staff were kind, friendly, and helpful. The room was okay if you just need a place to sleep after a long day out. Breakfast, uhmmm, I wouldn't recommend.

For such an economical hotel, the breakfast was pretty good, and the rate was very affordable. But I kept getting a smell of smoke in my room, along with a little toilet smell.
