Kenangan Hotel

It's a quiet spot right in central Bandung, a few minutes on foot from Stasiun Bandung and beside the West Java Governor's residence. The rooms were clean and fairly spacious, and the service was good. They even cleaned my car. The hotel feels old and could use better maintenance, but I'd recommend it.

For what you pay, you get a vintage-style place with standard rooms. Breakfast has no choice, they bring fried rice to your room, and the TV has only a few channels with unclear pictures. Parking is limited too. The staff are friendly, you can refill your drink, and they washed my car in the morning without me asking. I'm not sure whether they'd wash it if it were already clean. Mine was dirty from the rain when we arrived.

The location is really handy, just 2-5 minutes from the nearest train station, with lots of food places and Paskal nearby. Staff were nice and helpful, and you can ask them to clean while you're out. I booked a standard twin room. It was small but compact, with two beds, two chairs, two coffee tables and an open shelf. It was fairly clean, though the old furniture and dim look made the place feel dated. The bathroom is right next to the bed, with a small soap, shampoo, hot water and clean towels. There were mosquitoes, so you may want repellent. You can hear people outside if they talk near your room, and the floor didn't seem very well cleaned.

It's a decent budget stay, and the clean bathroom and convenient bedroom were nice. The train station is close enough to walk to, so you can explore the city on foot. The lighting in the hotel isn't great, which can make it feel a bit scary at night.
