The innkeepers were lovely, and Bandung’s popular spots and landmarks are easy to reach from here. We also had quick Wi-Fi, cable TV, and complimentary coffee, tea, sugar, and water. The place was fairly clean and tidy, though it still felt more like staying in someone’s home than at an inn. My wife and I stayed here and had a good experience for budget travel. Breakfast was toast with a selection of jams and chocolate sprinkles. A couple of things could be better: the walls let through quite a bit of sound, and the bathroom is outside the room. Using the bathroom water was a little complicated, too. The electrical outlet is high up, which made charging less convenient. It’s a solid option if you’re traveling on a budget, especially if you’re on your own and need reliable Wi-Fi.

We liked the friendly owners, the strong Wi-Fi, and the toast with a smiley face. The place was fairly clean, and when we asked for toilet paper and a towel, they brought them right away. It’s also near the best restaurant ever, Iga bakar. The room was small and basic, with no big window or sink, and the opening facing the street brought in even more noise. It was very noisy at night and early in the morning. We were offered a private bathroom for an extra 40k when we arrived, which made it less cheap, and we didn’t feel it was worth paying for. The breakfast was okay, just toast with jam or peanut butter, and the inn is a bit out of the center. 178000 would have felt more reasonable.

With its affordable price and handy location, this Bandung stay felt like being at home. The service and facilities were nice, and I’d choose it again when visiting the city. :)

A cheap, backpacker-style inn in an ordinary house owned by an elderly couple. They didn’t provide a towel.
