Serela Riau Hotel Bandung

I visited this property at the beginning of January, and back then this old hotel had no hospitality at all. What a difference now. I’m truly amazed by the improvements: the service is great, the rooms were perfectly clean, and there were plenty of staff around. I can really feel the hospitality here now. Good job, I’ll definitely come back soon.

There’s plenty of space in the room, with a large king bed, very hot water in the bathroom, and a decent sitting area. The sofa wasn’t very comfortable, and the TV only had local channels. They also didn’t provide plates for snacks. Still, I enjoyed staying the night.

I stayed over a long weekend and was really disappointed. The room was dirty, service was poor, and the receptionist was slow to solve problems. It took more than two hours to deal with a room maintenance issue, after I’d already spent the first 20 minutes waiting for my complaint to be taken seriously. Cleanliness standards clearly weren’t being met, especially for a non-smoking room. Mine had a strong smoke smell, stains on the blanket, hair on the bed, dust on the shelf, and a dirty carpet.

Comfortable room and a strategic location, an excellent hotel.
