The daily price is affordable, though breakfast isn't included if that's something you want. Gareli Ciumbulueit Hotel is a relaxed, enjoyable place to stay in Bandung city, Indonesia, with comfortable rooms and excellent service.

The pool has a separate area for kids to swim and practice, though there are no slides. You can work out beside it and keep an eye on them, especially if they're around 5-12. The hotel looks a little aged, but the suite-like rooms and great service make it worth a visit. Breakfast buffet is smaller than at major hotels, but the quality can compare. There are also nice views for your Instagram.

Lots of cafes and street food stalls nearby, and the location is superb. The traffic jam right outside seems constant, though. Rooms are clean, all the power outlets worked, and both the parking and drop-off areas are spacious. The bathrooms could use an upgrade. The pool water was really, really cold.

The food and outdoor restaurant are close to five-star hotel quality for the price, and the facilities were clean and well maintained as we expected. I rate a hotel based on the mix of location, facilities, cleanliness, food, and service for what it costs at the time of my stay. Here, the strategic Bandung location puts you near city attractions, but traffic runs all day and night, which was the one thing I disliked. The towels looked dull, and the dining tables and chairs were dirty. The curtains also need attention.
