There are artisan bakeries and restaurants all within walking distance, which is a real plus. The food was awesome, breakfast was great, and the service was wonderful overall. It's a good spot for a getaway, ideally for couples. Inside, the room was cozy and warm, with a bathtub and lots of hot water. The bed was comfy, and it was very quiet. I liked the seating area and all the natural light. The only real drawback was not having enough sockets there.

I stayed for three days and two nights in a first-floor room, and unfortunately the experience left me disappointed. There is no lift, and the stairs are very narrow, which seems difficult for guests with heavy bags and for staff who use them every day. I was concerned about privacy and security from the first night. Access to the rooms isn't limited to hotel guests. Anyone in the building can use it, and it also serves as the main route to the café's kitchen. From daytime until late at night, we kept hearing dishes and cutlery, staff talking and other activity. Whenever we went in or out, people could see straight into the room and see whoever was inside. We had to ask staff to cover the glass door because it was reflective and visible from outside. It didn't give us the privacy I'd expect as hotel guests. For a nightly rate that feels relatively overpriced, even on weekdays, the hotel seems to offer mainly a strategic location and a distinctive design. I didn't find the hospitality, comfort or privacy worth the price. It would help to separate the routes and transaction areas for hotel guests and café customers. Right now, everything is handled at the front cashier. The hotel and café share the same space, but hotel guests are paying for rest, privacy and comfort, while café customers come to eat, socialize and spend time casually. I hope management takes this feedback in the constructive spirit intended. A satisfying guest experience is valuable to both sides. Thank you.

Our first visit to The House Tour Downtown Hotel will be our last. It looks trendy and stylish, but it fell short on basic facilities and service that matter for guest comfort. The room was much more compact than the online photos suggested, especially on the second floor. Opening even a small standard suitcase was difficult unless we took everything out and put the suitcase under the desk, which was unstable. The desk lamp also wobbled and worked intermittently, and the bedside light didn't work. There was no refrigerator in the room, which surprised me at this price range, and made storing medication, skincare or food inconvenient. There is no elevator, so carrying large bags or several items is a hassle. It also creates serious difficulty for guests with mobility impairments, including wheelchair users and people who use walking aids. Anyone with accessibility needs should know the property doesn't appear designed to accommodate mobility-related disabilities. Parking is difficult to access. They do offer 24-hour valet parking, but guests have to hand over their car keys, which may not suit everyone. The lobby is shared with a pastry shop, bar and boutique, and seems laid out to maximize space rather than guest comfort, staff workflow or easy movement. A visually trendy place that puts looks ahead of accessibility, function and basic comfort.

A hidden gem right inside a café, and somehow still quiet and peaceful. The House Tour Hotel Downtown has a charming classic cottage-style interior with warm details that made me feel at home straight away. It's centrally located, so getting around the city is easy, but the cozy atmosphere also makes it tempting to simply relax and enjoy the stay. A lovely mix of comfort and convenience. 10/10 experience!

The food was good, and getting to this distinctive little boutique hotel was easy. The staff were helpful enough, though nothing special. It felt a bit overpriced compared with other places. Also, anyone with leg or other health problems should keep the stairs in mind.
