Urbanview Hotel Newton Riau Bandung

The price was pretty good. The lobby looked decent, but the walk to my room needed some work: the walls needed paint, the floor needed replacing, and the water could be better since the hot water took a while to start.

The location was the one good thing, and that's about it. The door stuck, the sink was blocked, and the bathroom door locked itself, so we had to call maintenance at 10 pm. Then in the morning, we found a cigarette butt in our sugar bowl even though we were in a no smoking room. I have proof. Not recommended!

The bathroom tiles looked really nice, but they were shiny regular 50x50 tiles, so stepping on them when wet felt risky. The Newton hotel could've used bathroom tiles designed to be less slippery when wet. I was there for business and found the place comfortable. Breakfast had several options, but somehow my vegetables were cold even though I was the first person eating.

We stayed just one night as a stopover, so I didn't explore much beyond the room. It was roomy, the facilities inside all worked, and the cleanliness was very good for a 3 star hotel. Parking was spacious too, with a basement for cars. Its spot on Riau street is the big plus, close to the city center and factory outlets along the street. Siliwangi stadium and Saparua field are nearby if you want to exercise in the morning.
