After a long, difficult day of cycling, we just wanted an easy check-in, so we booked this homestay through booking.com. At the desk, the woman was very unwelcoming and, without even greeting us, said she wasn't on booking.com and made it clear she didn't want us there. We showed her the reservation and pointed out that the homestay was listed on several booking apps, including booking.com and agoda. She still said we'd need to get our money back from booking.com. We left tired and hungry, cycled around until we found another hotel, and now have to pursue a refund. I wouldn't book this accommodation through any online platform or expect a warm welcome.

The service was poor. The room smells, and the AC leaks and makes such a loud noise it sounds like it's about to explode. I wouldn't recommend it.

The owner was really friendly, and it felt like being at home. The place was cheap, clean, and comfortable, and even the towels smelled nice. Best place overall.

The owner was unfriendly and naughty. The place was ugly, with lots of mosquitoes and rats.

It works for a short break, but the location isn't very strategic. The rooms feel more like a guesthouse than a hotel, and the whole place is quite old. Management should introduce some improvements if it doesn't want to lose out to other lodging options.
