We left after just a couple of hours and found another place to stay, S5 Guesthouse, which was brilliant. The room here was much smaller than the photos suggested, very dated, poorly maintained, and not very clean. The whole building seemed like it needed a major renovation or to be torn down. Customer service was the worst part. I contacted OYO and got an initial message saying they’d look into it, but then they stopped replying and only sent reservation confirmations.

It’s reasonably priced and quite easy to get to. The building and place have potential, and I hope the upkeep and service improve. The room and yard need more care and cleaning. The stairs to the third floor aren’t very child-friendly because the handrail seems loose and still hasn’t been fixed. Water was also limited in the morning when lots of people were using it. My family was on the third floor. Salam.

There are lots of food stalls in the neighborhood, so we didn’t have to go far to get a meal. The stay was great for the affordable rate, and you can even get a big room with a bathtub.

The suite had enough room for a family. The bed was nice, and the place felt clean and cozy.

A lovely building for a homestay, with great architecture.
